Ozone

Ozone is an unstable gas, therefore not transportable, which is why it is generated on-site by the application of a high electric voltage discharge to air or pure oxygen.

Once the ozone is generated it is dosed directly into the water to be treated. Ozone is one of the strongest oxidants used in water treatment, mainly used in pre-treatment to reduce TOC (Total Organic Carbon), oxidation of metals, reduction of odors and reduction of color.

The high oxidation potential of ozone ensures effective and rapid disinfection at the point of application, although it is not used as a residual disinfectant as it has a very short permanence in the water.
